Play along with Miss Caithness! Thursday 26th March.

26th Mar 2020

Hope you enjoyed the last play along! Thank you so much for sending Mrs Dalzell and me your photographs, we just love seeing you working hard at home with your families.

When I’ve been watching the news at home, I have seen that there have been lots of boys and girls making rainbows to put in their window. So I though they boys and girls of Ebrington Nursery could do the same!

Today, we are going to make a rainbow of hope for a window in your house. This rainbow will brighten everyone’s day who sees it.
You will need a piece of paper or card and some coloured markers/crayons/paint/colouring pencils/craft materials eg: tissue paper) and glue.

Have a look at the rainbow shape in the photographs. Can you count how many colours you need? Can you name the colours you need? Can you remember the song about the rainbow?

”Red and yellow and pink and green, purple and orange and blue. I can sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow too!”

Have a go at drawing and making the rainbow shape yourself. You need to start at one side of the page and curve it over to the other side.

You could write your name on your rainbow and decorate around it if you want. You could get your grown up to write a wee message on your rainbow if you want.

When you are finished, put your rainbow in the window of your house. Maybe you could go for a rainbow walk around the houses where you live and see if you can find any rainbows in other houses!

Have fun and don’t forget to send Mrs Dalzell and me a photograph of your beautiful rainbow!
